Pilates (puh-lah-teez) is a system of movement and exercise developed by Joesph H. Pilates over a span of 60 years. Pilates believed in the power of the mind to "control" the body. Pilates training will increase your awareness of movement as well as the efficiency of movement by training the whole body to work in unison with proper technique and control.

Pilates is for everybody. Pilates optimizes one's movements whatever their
current fitness level. Whether you are just getting in shape, training for an
athletic event, rehabilitating from an injury or just interested in a new physical challenge that will provide results, Pilates is for you. Pilates is more than a good workout. It is a personal investment in your physical and mental well being.

BodyBlast offers a wide variety of Pilates equipment, including the Trapeze Table, Reformer, Ladder Barrel and Combo Chair. We also offer a variety of classes as well as private training.

A minimum of three hours of one-on-one training is required before participation in a class. The private trainings will address the underlying principles of Pilates, body alignment, mechanics and breathing as well as to familiarize you with the equipment.
